Need some inspiration. Need to put something up on my son’s bedroom walls but he is stuck for ideas and so am I!

OP posts:

DS16 has nothing.
DS15 had posters of footballers, animals and beach scenes. Dartboard and framed limited addition Spider-Man poster

pinkstripeycat · 02/10/2022 13:40

How about a painted mural

BearSoFair · 02/10/2022 13:56

DS2 is 13 and has various space posters, a world map, and a tube map with all the stations he's used highlighted (train geek, always has been!)

Not quite a teen anymore but DS1 is 20 and still has a Batman poster from when he was about 14, and scratch off posters for top 100 movies and albums.

DS15 has all his walls painted white apart from one which is a dark grey. On his dark grey wall he has some industrial looking shelves with all his football/cricket trophies on. On another wall he has a big flag from the football tea he supports. On another wall he has a long landscape photo of Central Park he bought in New York and the other wall he has his window and his TV is wall mounted. He also has those little led lights running all around the room where the walls meet the ceiling.

ChocolateCrepe · 02/10/2022 14:03

DS13 on one wall has his tv with his Xbox and games on a little shelf underneath, another wall has a load of frames full of some photos, some prints, a postcard he bought etc, the only other available wall is his desk and bookshelves on so nothing but a full length mirror next to his wardrobe on the actual wall

Bunnyflop7 · 02/10/2022 14:03

@ChocolateCrepe are those LED lights hard to put up?

OP posts:
ChocolateCrepe · 02/10/2022 14:05

I think you quoted the wrong poster although my DS does also have the LED lights and in the same place as OP’s and no, they were very easy to put up, DS & I did it together in about 20 minutes

TokyoTen · 02/10/2022 14:11

When they were in their teens they had stuff from here: shop-us.kurzgesagt.org/collections/posters but they don't bother with posters now they are 20.

Hellocatshome · 02/10/2022 14:20

Yes LED lights rediculously easy to put up. I did it by myself in about half an hour if not less. The main problem I had was we are in a Victoria Terrace and the ceilings are very high and I am very short.

nancyglancey · 02/10/2022 14:22

Led lights and space themed prints in frames.

Waterfallgirl · 02/10/2022 14:23

Mine has the lights ( remote control) plus a massive wall hanging ( fabric) he got from Amazon I think.

AntlerRose · 02/10/2022 14:28

One has a sports poster. The other has some oil paintings he did himself.

WeAllHaveWings · 02/10/2022 14:32

42" TV
wall cube/shelves take up quite a bit of space above his desk
Large framed signed footie top
footie calendar
pin board to side of desk
wall light above bed.

The rest of the walls are taken up by windows, fitted wardrobes and the door.

SingingSands · 02/10/2022 14:46

LED lights that run around the underneath of his bed frame.
A massive Tupac Poster
A massive football team "treble treble" poster
Two football calendars
Signed football memento in a frame
Football scarves
Pages from match day programmes
Tickets of big matches he's been to

His bedroom door is covered in football stickers, pages from match day programmes and a stadium sign.

There's a definite theme 😄 he's football daft

Blueeyedgirl21 · 02/10/2022 14:48

BonnesVacances · 02/10/2022 14:49

DS(18) has a couple of the IKEA picture ledge shelves with various paraphernalia on it. And a display cabinet with all his Lego mini figures in.

Blueeyedgirl21 · 02/10/2022 14:49

TitaniasAss · 02/10/2022 14:55

13 or 18? 13 year old ds had cars and probably still some old star wars posters that had been there for years. 18 year old has a couple of framed pictures of superbikes on his walls but that's all.

TwoBlueFish · 02/10/2022 15:00

DS18 has nothing apart from a mirror on one wall.
DS19 has a large framed print of the NY skyline but used to have pop posters, certificates, etc up

MintJulia · 02/10/2022 15:05

Three of those multi-photo frames.

One of assorted photos from Primary school leavers day, and all his mates.

One from Year 9 french trip, different group of friends

One full of karate grading pictures.

misspattycake · 02/10/2022 16:06

My nephew has an artsy stylised F1 poster in a picture frame from grandprixart.co.uk/ which he likes but meets my sisters immaculate house standards
