Infra red heaters ?

Hi...thinking of getting an infra red heater... but do they work? Are they worth it?

Love to hear if anyone has them!

We looked into having them but they were a lot more expensive than replacing the gas boiler at that time.

We're moving into a place that needs renovating and are thinking about installing infrared instead.

Tha ks for replying! We are currently on oil. The tank will need replacing soon...thats at least 3k plus if we had infra red installed we could do away with the boiler and the tank altogether.

Watching with interest. Want to replace storage heaters , no mains gas and would prefer to avoid LPG and oil.
