And if so how do you personally apply it

I personally do. I’m incredibly grateful for my life, and can find gratitude in the worst of situations too. It’s not a conscious choice, it just happens.

I think it helps alot.

It's easy to forget.

But being grateful for the smaller things that one has or experiences daily is a great aid to positive mental health

It’s not just gratitude. It’s hard to be grateful for anything if you’re miserable. Selfless service to others would be my top prescription for anxiety. Go volunteer at a food bank or night shelter and take the focus off your own problems for a while. It can also be very spiritually fulfilling.

Maybe an antidote to a bit of worry or negative thinking
but not for real anxiety !!

It helps @GingerKittenTail. Before I get out of bed I think of 3 things I am grateful for. I do the same when I get into bed at night.

Gratitude and acceptance

Anxiety is caused by the same basic body systems designed to help us run away from tigers.

I found gratitude journalling to be an absolute pile of wank in terms of helping with anxiety.

What worked was drugs, re-evaluating my life to remove sources of stress, and a diet that prioritised organic food along with daily exercise.
