My daughter has lost her first tooth and I have no idea how much to leave under her pillow.
What are the tooth fairy's going rates these days? 😂

We give £1. My son told me a girl in his class got a ten pound note but he may have been exaggerating!

We give £1 for first then 50p for each after. I know a lot do £2 for first then £1 for the rest.

A very shiny and super special £2 coin for the first and a £1 coin for each thereafter, though there was the notable tooth that got an IOU written in tiny writing on a bit of tissue paper when the tooth fairy ran out of cash one Sunday Blush

Thank you! I Googled it and some sites said £5 😱 I thought it seemed too much

It wouldn't surprise me! Lots of parents these days like to go OTT

Whatever you do make sure you have a stash of coins hidden away. Was a nightmare during lockdown when no cash!

And dont forget the tooth fairy always does first teeth first so sometimes on later teeth its the 2nd night under the pillow she comes. Shes a very busy forgetful lady.

Tooth fairy only leaves one coin in this house, so £2 (if we jave one, £1 if not).

Dcs have always been delighted with that.

Everydaywheniwakeup · 01/10/2022 13:34

£1. Lettuce is kinder than me - on one cashless evening the tooth fairy left a note to say the tooth wasn't sparkly clean so she'd be back the next night when it was thoroughly scrubbed.
We also never left it under her pillow in case the tooth fairy got squashed rummaging under the pillow.
Fyi, saved teeth look grim 10 years later (sadsack PFB emoji).

Sorry for jumping on the bandwagon, I thought I'd respond to this thread instead of starting a new thread.

Do you leave a note? A sprinkling of fairy dust? A scented mist? Grin I joke for the last one but genuine question about whether you just leave the money on its own?

I left a letter and some fairy dust with a very shiny £1 coin 😊
