Hot water bottles and onesies with hoods

If I get dc onesies with hoods are they safe in bed if I tuck the hood in ? Or still not ok ?
Are hot water bottles ok for children too or are they prone to causing scalding accidents ? I want to put off using my heating but it’s cold!!

Will they find onseies comfortable to sleep in? Mine hated sleeping in them as they got wedgies in the night.

I would probably go for fleece PJs (Primark always have them in this time of year), a blanket on top of the duvet and a hot water bottle in a fluffy cover (Primark again) Put the hot water bottle in the bed about an hour before they go to bed to warm up the bed also means the water has cooled a little by the time they get in so can't scold them eve though I think that risk is pretty small anyway.
