Do Apple Watch straps get grubby easily?

I like the creamy coloured one but am worried it’ll get really dirty. Are the lighter coloured ones hard to keep clean?

I have the light pink one and it does get grubby quickly. They are easily cleaned but it annoyed me so I switched to a dark blue

yeah, gets dirty fast, but also very easy to clean.

I have cream and pink from apple, and a few nude ones from other brands. Tbh they don't get particularly dirty (I wear them in the gym and say to day, and fake tan + moisturise to give an idea of the skin it's on 😂) I clean them when I swatch them, but they aren't ever really noticeably dirty. Unsure if it's my OTT sanitiser use though!

Thanks that’s helpful @Thestoppedfan the dark blue was my other choice for this reason.

You can get replacement straps really cheap on Amazon too

I found a lovely leather strap on Amazon that has worn really well and I also bought a metallic bracelet strap that looks like the expensive one that apple sell but half the cost. Both absolutely fine and still going strong.

I have the pink one, it seems to have a bluish stain to it, don’t know why, from my jeans maybe but I don’t see how. Anyway it gets grubby yes.

RainbowCat26 · 30/09/2022 22:51

They do get grubby easily and mostly clean up ok, but whatever you do don’t wear it with new jeans, the dye gets into the strap and no matter what I do I can’t get rid of the stain! I’ve lost 2 straps this way 😂

I've got the white rubbery one, it does get a little grubby but a wet flannel soon sorts it (wearing it to swim in probably helps too TBH). 2 years of every day wear and no stains, it's as good as new.

queenofthewild · 30/09/2022 23:04

Mine is still like new, but I swim in it twice a week, so swimming makes them clean

PearlWithTheGirlEarring · 30/09/2022 23:05

The fabric ones I chuck in with a 30 wash, the rubber ones clean up well with soap and water. I’ve got dozens (Ali express used to be a pound or two for them) but I usually defer to a metal bracelet strap because it’s comfier.
