I LOVE those halloween decorations. Where did you get them!

Your dd’s picture is fantastic. She should be very proud

I'm the only one who was scared by the original then?

Oh! 😂 I wasn't even that young when it came out. I'm not usually a chicken, honest.

I found it a bit creepy as a kid but it did scare me anywhere near as much as 'the witches' original version did. 😱

MadeForThis · 30/09/2022 14:25

What age group is it suitable for? DD's 4 & 7 might be too young?

I’m in the US

howeverw I made the cauldron. You put a foam sphere in it then the bubbles are iridescent Christmas glass ornaments. I got cheap packs and hot glued them to each other, 2 sizes. I’m surprised how well it turned out. I did a bigger one for the fireplace

HerRoyalNotness · 30/09/2022 14:47

The fireplace which is redundant as we live in Texas!

Inmyownlittlecorner · 30/09/2022 14:54

I’m more excited for this than a 43 year old woman should be! I’ve got junk food for dinner, wine for me(&DH) & Halloween themed snacks. I work in a year 4 class & wore my Hocus Pocus T-shirt today. This is my Christmas!!

McConkeysPlate · 30/09/2022 15:01

I have just done the snack run…..

Marmite27 · 30/09/2022 17:46

My mum has just text to ask what time it’s on. Had to explain its a streaming service so should be available now!

Dave20 · 30/09/2022 20:44

I remember watching the original first time around, almost 30 years ago.
Real nostalgia, a 90s film, takes me right back!
Watching the second one now, the 3 witches look almost exactly the same !

Nsws2015 · 30/09/2022 21:03

Me and my 15 year old dd watched it earlier, she ran home from school to watch it 🤣 made herself a hot choc in her hocus pocus couldren mug to warm up. It was fab we loved it

Just be sure to watch right to the end!!!!!!!

User19876 · 30/09/2022 21:04

Is the original really suitable for little kids? How do you explain the virgin thing? Don’t think they need to know about that at 4. And the zombie is quite scary.

You'll need to watch it first and decide.
They suck the life out of a little girl at the very start.
And they show their legs swinging after they've been hung. They also go on about virgins a lot.

Dave20 · 30/09/2022 21:23

DD who 7 and I watched the first one a few weeks ago. Before that, I’d forgotten most of the film as I hadn’t seen it in almost 30 years..

She did ask what a virgin is though…
