Which artist are your kids / teens into??

I loved East 17, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, Blink 182, Red Hot Chilli Peppers Placebo, Beegees, Rod Stewart, Savage Garden, Linkin Park etc

I have a 10 and 12 year old. Is pop not a thing anymore? Just RnB and Dance music??

I know they won't care but music was a massive part of my childhood and it seems a shame.

I'd tape the top 40. Watch the Brit Awards (don't know anyone on there now) and Top of The Pops. Smash Hits Concerts at the Arena. Buy Tapes and CDs and magazines with the song lyrics.

Worse problems to have I know.

Eldest teen DD into a real mix: Mitski, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Ray, Phoebe Bridgers to name a few. She is into vinyl and CDs and Spotify. She spends far too much money at record shops.

Younger DD (at secondary school) likes K Pop amongst others. But not really hit her musical stride.

DH and I into all sorts of music and are regular gig attendees. So I guess the kids have had a good musical education!

Of course it's still a thing!!! Music is huge for my 15 yr old. She kinda lives for music! She likes all sorts, lots of current stuff including Mitski, Annemarie, Harry Styles etc, she follows all the gossip about pop stars. She listens to music in her room all the time, while doing homework or chilling out. Pop music is a constant source of discussion amongst her friend group. Both DDs have playlists on Spotify and I can't imagine them not being interested in pop music.

Dd loves Florence, Ariana grande, marina and the diamonds. She likes other music too but she really appreciates female singers 😅 DS is younger so more easily influenced in what he listens to, so a lot of bring me the horizon, nothing but thieves, muse, foo fighters. Most of the stuff on the radio I find deeply irritating so it's not on all that much.

Mine is 16 and is very into music. She likes emo/indie/grunge.

Oh mine are definitely into music. Their Alexas are constantly on. I meant the pop bands.
