Going to Tenerife at the end of October.
Have had 3 vaccines the last one being last November.
I had covid in march DH had it last Christmas.
Do we also need a covid test before we go.
DH says we do but I don't think so.
Please help.

No I think the booster covers you no matter when it was. That was the rule in the summer anyway. Check gov.uk to be sure.

dementedpixie · 29/09/2022 21:06

No you don't.
The booster currently has no expiry date so you just need your proof of vaccination

Gobrookeyourself · 29/09/2022 21:07

We went a couple of months ago- no, as long as the third jab was a booster, you don’t need a covid test.

We flew back from Lanzarote today (was there for 1 week). No one asked about or even mentioned vaccination status. I’d actually forgotten this was a thing!

Got back from there on Monday. I had to show my vaccination status on entry. Dh didn't. So they are doing random checks.

I've just come back from a week in Tenerife and we had to do a PCR test 24 hours before we went.... they did check our confirmation at Tenerife airport straight after immigration

PatriciaHolm · 29/09/2022 22:37

If you have both had 2 jabs plus the booster, then no, you do not need a test.

This is assuming you are uk citizens going from the Uk that is!

This would only be if you are unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated

Arrived today. Had to bring proof of vaccination status. Not looked at.
