Ffs Evri!! Are they the worst company ever?

Evri (formerly Hermes) have had my parcel for 11 days. I just got a notification that it has been delivered to some random persons house despite me asking it to be delivered to the local shop.

Wtf do I do now? It’s £250 and I need it to go on holiday next Tuesday. I don’t recognise the house in the picture and do not think it’s even on my street???

No contact number of course and just a bot on their website!

Sorry for the rant!

Yes they are complete shite!

lovetosup · 29/09/2022 18:10

Can you post it on your local fb page and see if someone recognises the address. It happens a lot on our local page!

LeakyTapTap · 29/09/2022 18:12

Have a poke around on Google Street View and see if you can find the house?

hellcatspangle · 29/09/2022 18:15

Can't you contact the place you ordered it from, tell them it's been delivered elsewhere, and they need send a replacement on overnight delivery?

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 29/09/2022 18:17

You'll never get it back. You need to contact the seller

iklboo · 29/09/2022 18:19

Our driver is brilliant. He must be the only decent Evri driver in the country! 😄

Auntieobem · 29/09/2022 18:22

Contact the seller. You'll get nowhere with Evri and your contract is with seller.

CakeMake · 29/09/2022 18:30

I’ve found it on street view but the person is refusing to hand it over.

Yes. Without doubt.

Cantthinkofadifferentname · 29/09/2022 18:32

Yodel are a million times worse they damaged my parcel and 3 weeks for replacement, our Evri delivery guy is wonderful

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 29/09/2022 18:35

YANBU. I will never buy from any seller who uses Evri/Hermes.

What fucks me off at the moment are sellers saying 'postage - other courier...' so it's ambiguous who it is. And when they say this, it's ALWAYS fucking Evri. (Hermes.) And you don't know until AFTER you have bought the item. I have has 3 items lost from them this past 6 months. WHY? WHY do sellers use them?!

CakeMake · 29/09/2022 18:38

There is a person in the picture with the door open but they are saying they have not received it!

You contact the seller.

Your contract is with them, their contract is with the courier.

moleinstudy · 29/09/2022 18:42

the absolute worst.

earsup · 29/09/2022 18:43

seller sends you another item...ask for royal mail....or dpd etc.....but actually i never had any issues with hermes or evri....sent lots to spain all ok and cheap

DSGR · 29/09/2022 19:02

Oh, ours are great!

balalake · 29/09/2022 19:27

A chargeback from your bank is something you should consider.

Mine is brilliant too 👌

LibertyLily · 29/09/2022 23:44

Ours is also brilliant....have had many parcels delivered by them with no issues at all.

Canihaveacoffeepleasexx · 29/09/2022 23:48

They are epically shit. Their slogan should be “There is Evri chance your not getting your parcel” with a big thumbs up and smiley face emoji

OldTinHat · 30/09/2022 00:05

They are the worst of the worst.

Topseyt123 · 30/09/2022 00:15

Currently, our usual Evri driver is very good. Before we got him it was utterly crap. When he is on holiday it then reverts to being crap again.

I really don't want to buy from sellers who use them but unfortunately you rarely know who the courier will be before actually placing your order.

MadisonAvenue · 30/09/2022 00:27

We used to have a really good one, he was really reliable and knew where to leave parcels if we weren’t in but he’s now retired.

His replacement is shocking. I was expecting a parcel and our Ring doorbell recorded him walk towards the house with the parcel in his hand, take a photo of the front door from the pavement and then walk away again, still with the parcel. I only knew that he’d been nearby when I got a notification saying that he’d tried to deliver but no one was in and there wasn’t anywhere suitable to leave the parcel.

We’ve also had four parcels which never even went out for delivery since the start of the year, including nearly £200 worth of clothing my son had ordered which the company. One still says that it’s being processed at their hub and it’s been that way since July 19th.
