Pay rises and time on mat leave

Are there any legal rules about whether or not you count time on mat leave when talking about pay increases? And any difference between OML and AML?

E.g. if my last pay rise was in September 2019, and in the interim I'd had six months OML and six months AML, would you say my last pay rise was two years ago or three years ago?

I mean in a work context, not general life chat.

I need to have a serious convo with HR, and I don't know if I talk about the last one being two or three years ago, given I wasn't at work for one of the last three years (example).

When your on mat leave legally speaking your still employed and should be eligible for bonuses and payrise pregnantthenscrewed.com is eye opening and has lots of resources you may find useful.

I wasn't given a payrise when I was on maternity leave. I contacted ACAS when my work were slow to fix it and now I'm paid the same (with back pay) as my colleagues.

You count the time you were away, it doesn't matter if you are on leave.

I have had two pay rises whilst on Mat leave, both in line with the others in my team.

Wow. That's really interesting. Thank you. I've actually had two mat leaves and we are supposed to have annual reviews which have never happened when I've come back.
