Confused about puppy vaccines when can he go out for a walk?

Hi all,Im very confused right
now and not sure what to do for the best ? Our 10week old pup has his 2nd vaccines of nobivac dhp yesterday (wed) His got his last vaccine of nobivac L4 in another 2 weeks time.

At the 1st appointment we was told
by the vet we saw -that after the 2nd vaccines today (with another week
to give him immunity) we could take him out for walks just sticking to paths and keep local but yesterday we was told by a different vet that we shouldn't do this at all now and we should wait untill after the 3rd vaccine is given.

Conflicting advice given to us and I have a family member who is a vet has said the same it should be 3 vaccines then a weeks wait then can start walking yet our puppy trainer who his meant to start with next week has said it should be a week after the 2nd vaccines

Whats your thoughts please? Im so confused

Ours went out as soon as he'd had his second vaccines. They often retain immunity from mum at that age too.

There isn't necessarily a straight answer as you have found out! It's about balancing the immunity/risk of disease on the one hand with socialisation and training on the other. The vaccines your pup has already received are the full standard primary course for distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus. The puppy is yet to complete the vaccine course for lepto. The decision as to whether to start taking out after the DHP has taken effect vs waiting for lepto depends on the lepto risk. Some people will choose to start cautious socialisation after DHP is complete whilst avoiding higher lepto risk areas (areas where rodents are a real issue - waterways, farmyards etc) until after the later lepto vaccine. It's a very individual decision and depends on local factors also. I'd advise you call your practice to see if you can clarify their advice for your pup.
