I’ve gone right off eggs

It’s weird. I have always eaten eggs, boiled, scrambled, fried, omelettes. All of a sudden I feel sick just thinking about them. I am aware of their snottiness now and the smell puts me off too. I don’t know why!

Does anyone else feel like this about eggs or something you have always eaten and suddenly can’t stomach? Why does that happen?

Weirdly I’ve gone off eggs too lately. Normally love any time of egg but just can’t eat them at the moment.

Over the course of my adult life i haveoccasionally gone off eggs, it has lasted up to 2 years, minimum was 9 months - that time it ended out of politeness as my host made a dish that had been a known favorite so i of course ate it and then got over my finding then repulsive. But yes, i do find them absolutely repulsive from time to time! I find myself edging closer and closer to veganism.

I always find when DP is cooking them they smell like wet dog when they're being scrambled and makes me want to puke.

It happens. Once I went completely off bread for about 6 months. Who doesn’t like bread?!

I did go off eggs once but I was pregnant and couldn’t stand the thought of anything that had been near a chicken.

I used to love eggs then had to stop eating them. Every now and then I think I would really like some scrambled eggs or a soft poached egg, then someone else in family cooks one and the smell of it makes me want to puke 🤢

I haven’t eaten eggs for nearly a year now, used to love them but for some reason went completely off them one day.

Have any of you had covid? My sister can't eat eggs since having it. Make her feel ill

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 28/09/2022 21:26

The smell puts me off too. I think it smells like inside a hen house.

cushioncovers · 28/09/2022 21:29

Yep I've gone off them in the last 6 months. Not sure why but they make me heave now.

Rabidturnip · 28/09/2022 21:30

Could you be pregnant OP?

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 28/09/2022 21:32

I think eggs can be like that.

Sometimes I love em, other times, no ta.

I'm funny about oysters. I love a dozen. Then, suddenly, the 13th (or so) feels like swallowing mucus.

Give it a bit, then I can eat a dozen again, happily.

I could never stand eggs, then I couldn’t stop eating them.

The title of this thread made me gage, so it’s safe to say I’ve gone off them.
Also tea, used to drink cups a day made one this morning and nearly vomited 🤮 so I’ll stick to coffee.
