New glasses

i have strong eye glasses prescription. Unfortunately I dropped my only pair when I got out of the train and it’s squashed. My normal Opticians said I have to come in and choose and then it will be 2 weeks before I could get new glasses. I am considering other options such as online etc using their current prescription as 2 weeks is too long to wait I do have contact lenses which I use sometimes. Any suggestions please thanks.

I recently had to order DF (high prescription) new glasses and specsavers also took 2 weeks.
teen gets glasses (also high prescription) from Asda & their time is pretty much the same. It’s the thinning of the high prescription lenses that takes the time.

can your existing opticians not just order you a replacement frame to put your lenses in, or are the lenses broken?

I use Glasses Direct. Quick to receive (about 5 days from ordering to wearing) and really reasonable prices.

Glasses are also broken.
