Weather predictions for winter 22

What kind of predictions do you guys have? Did you read anything online about what sort of winter we might get.

The past few winters were mild in my opinion. Compared to winter of 2010 and the beast from the east.

Do you think will we get a cold winter?

I don't know if its an old wives tale but I've heard lots of berries on the trees means a cold winter and there are absolutely loads on the trees here. Its already turned pretty cold, especially in the mornings so I'm going to guess it will be a cold one.

Not read any predictions, but agree with @FionnulaTheCooler about the berry theory. My pet theory is that animals seem to know/sense weather patterns way before we do, if so, then my cats are saying we are in for a harsh winter. Every bad winter they have bulked up their winter coats by October - this year has been seen them have thicker coats than the past 3 years.

My prediction is the Daily Express will have headlines of "10 inches of snow" (or similar seven times over winter beginning the middle of October, and three "hurricanes to batter Britain" headlines and one "Biblical Flood warning".

The actual weather will get down below freezing a couple of times in mid-January (prompting the Express to declare they were right) and slightly breezy winds will bring down a lot of trees weakened by the summer drought.

In mid-April the Express will run their first "Britain faces weeks of drought" headline followed by a month of constant rain.
