As from about midday today my Alexa refuses to play any BBC radio stations.
Never had this problem before.
Any ideas??

Ugh, please find the answer. One of mine has been like this for months

spiderlight · 28/09/2022 15:40

Mine did this a few weeks back. I had to link her to a BBC account, I think, and enable BBC sounds. Mine asked if I wanted her to send a link to my phone to sort it out, but it was basically this:

www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/help/questions/listening-on-a-smart-speaker/sign-in-alexa

bloodywhitecat · 28/09/2022 15:41

Have you enabled/installed the BBC sounds app?

PigsInBlanketyBlankets · 28/09/2022 15:58

Yup. Still doesn't work

AriettyHomily · 28/09/2022 16:52

Have you signed in to the bbc app, it's a PITA

Summertimesunshineandfizz · 28/09/2022 16:54

I had this. I just switched her off for 5 minutes and when turned back on then she started playing them again.

You can easily fix this by putting Alexa on a hard firm surface and smashing it once or twice with a hammer.
You are giving all your personal data away on the grounds of convenience. Why people buy into so called smart devices is beyond me. You’re just being hoodwinked by the tech companies who are laughing at you all the way to the bank.

Switch off at the wall, leave 5 minutes then turn the power on again.

Boopear · 29/09/2022 12:00

I had this as well. Rebooting worked here too...power out then in again.

PigsInBlanketyBlankets · 29/09/2022 12:02

I unplugged it for several days. Still won't work

BaconAndAvocado · 30/09/2022 20:30

All back!
Turned it off and on.....
