How long do Laduree macarons last?

I'd like to get some as a birthday gift but I'd have to pick them up at least a couple of days before they'd be opened. I'm getting conflicting reports from Google, any personal experts?

I buy beautiful ones frozen from Food Warehouse ( Big Iceland)
I just defrost and put on a large platter.

I buy them when in London and they have been fine the next day but they never last any longer than that in our house.

You could ask Laduree, or look on their website?

From one time experience they’re fine for a good few days op.

I'd say they start going a bit stale after 48 hours but they're still delicious

My daughter got some in Paris at the weekend. She was advised 3 days kept in the fridge. They were delicious!

Definitely at their best in the first 24 hours. I really wouldn’t recommend buying ahead. They are absolutely sumptuous and incomparable to a lot of other macarons.

I’d pick something else instead and save that experience for another time (or else give them early)

Ah, thank you all - sounds like they may not be the ideal choice after all if she won't have the chance to scarf them at their freshest!
