Does it hurt?

I've been back and forth to the hospital for the last 8 months. Biospy/oh that looks fine/swab/no it doesn't - rinse and repeat.

Hoping today they just get it over with and do the treatment but I'm just wondering what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

I had it last week under GA. I was definitely sore afterwards, sbd actually cane here today to post to see others experience as have got period like pain today, that can't ignore. Not crippling but quite bad.

Hope it stops Mt periods as they were like described above.

I didn't find it at all painful. Did a spin class the next morning and had light spotting then nothing. Not had any bleeding or pain since.

Oh bugger. I think I'm talking about the wrong thing. The treatment I'm talking about is to remove abnormal cells from cervix.

Thank you for your answers and apologies for not being clear x

I had mine under a GA as well.

I didn't hurt as such. I felt a bit tingly after but I didn't use any of the pain meds that they gave me.

I got very bloated after as well for a day or two.

My god though it's been life changing for me. My periods are so easy now. I've lost over 10kg and I feel well for the first time in years. I had no idea my periods had made me so poorly.

Hi OP,

I've had that done, it does depend on the amount and level of removal but it was more painful than I expected, but I managed a couple of days on over the counter painkillers.

It's a more crampy pain, not a sharp pain, and I had bleeding for about a week.

I'd say work wise I had 3 days and just took it easy, hot water bottle, cups of tea and just digested the process.

As the stress prior to removal was high.

@FuckWasps my sister had that, no pain. Good luck!
