People trying to cross the road close to pedestrian crossings / traffic lights?

Sometimes I see this, When I’m driving along and there’s somebody trying to cross the road but they can’t get across as there’s so much traffic on the road yet there could be a zebra crossing or a set of traffic lights in close proximity.

i dont bother letting them across. Anyone else? It’s just stupid!

It makes no sense. For the sake of walking a few metres, do people really want to play dodging the traffic?

It's rife where I live, people taking their lives in their own hands. And no one can ever be bothered waiting for the green man either!

Makes my blood boil.

A guy got knocked down by a lorry in my town recently, because he crossed where he shouldn't... lost his arm apparently! My sympathy, however, is squarely with the lorry driver!!!

It’s really very annoying! I don’t mind stopping momentarily to let people cross the road if it’s possible for me to stop, but I absolutely don’t bother if there’s some sort of crossing very close to them yet they’re choosing not to use it!

What I don't get is when these people cross a few metres from a pedestrian crossing, then walk past the pedestrian crossing anyway.

It drives me mad, it’d be quicker for them to walk to the crossing and get across properly, it saves nobody any time, it’s irritating.
