How rude is "Bite me." ?

For example if a 7 year old said it to a 10 year old who has been saying eg "Shut up egghead".

The ones who said it's about on a par. The 7 year old is mine, I don't really care about the 10 year old, and also the 7 year old has picked the expression up from me Blush.
