What size air fryer?

I am looking at getting an air fryer to keep us going when we are without an oven while we are having a new kitchen installed. What size would a family of 4 (2 adults, 7yo & 3yo) need in terms of litre capacity?

And any recommendations of good air fryers that aren’t silly money would be very welcome too.

Ooh watching with interest (and bumping for you).

I had my eyes on an Instant 6in1 Vortex Plus. It is 5.7ltr, but don't know how good it is (clueless).

I recommend the Daewoo halogen with the glass bowl and extension ring. Its about £40 if you shop around.

I've just got the Instant Vortex 4-in-1, which is 3.8 litre capacity and that's fine for me and my son. That's been brilliant for us so I imagine the 5.7 litre version would be a good size for your family. The non-stick coating seems very robust so far which is a very important feature. I've found mine really versatile - great for beige freezer food but we've also used it this week for roasted vegetables and baked apples. There's also an Instant brands UK facebook group - that's a great source of recipes and useful tips (I'm sure other brands have their own FB groups, this is just the one I know about)

The biggest you can find. I have a ninja and love it but I wish I had gone bigger and had two cooking drawers

Get the largest capacity that you can get.
I’ve been using a Vortex for two years which I’d be lost without. It’s 5.7 litres and is just about big enough for the four adults in our house.

We have the Breville Halo Rotisserie, which doesn't have drawers, but has shelves like a normal oven, which can be replaced with the rotating basket for chips or the rotisserie setup for a whole chicken (and you can roast spuds in the drip tray under the chicken if you get your setup right). We feed 4 out of it easily, and the rotisserie-chicken-in-an-hour thing was brilliant in the summer.

Glad to see the Vortex getting good reviews, as I really want the one in Argos on special atm. I saw it last week, put it in my basket, but it sold out before I bought it and it has now come back in stock. I did read that Tower were the best budget ones, but the ones I looked that were considerably cheaper had a much lower capacity.
