I’m in my 50s and fairly new to management.
I have a fantastic colleague in her late 20s who gets more than her fair share of client grumpiness.
We have addressed some weaknesses she had, but the pattern continues.
It doesn’t happen to me. Obviously I have a posher job title but I can’t help thinking a lot of it is just looking/being older.
She does look quite young on zoom calls etc. I suspect putting on more of a “uniform” might help ie wear a suit jacket, hair up, that kind of thing.
any thoughts appreciated!
