Is there anyone who works in the rail industry/has strike knowledge that can help please? I am supposed to be travelling to Gatwick on the morning of 5 Oct and then back on the afternoon of 8 Oct using Southern railway. I'm assuming the trains will now be cancelled which means I would have to cancel my trip as getting there by taxi is too expensive, and there is no direct coach that goes there either. Is there any remote chance the strikes will be called off or should I just cancel the trip now? Thanks
