What can I do regarding getting a mobility scooter

I am not asking for money. Just advice!!

Ive been bed bound for going on 2 months now due to undiagnosed medical issues. Still waiting for various tests.

I have been relying on a school mum to take my kids to school but I wish I could do it myself.

My kids have an event they would probably like to go in October, and I know my dh won’t do it.

So I’m trying to get a mobility scooter so I can do it.

Problem is, I can’t afford one. The hire is expensive too. £30-60 a week. Can’t afford that either.

I’ve asked on my local pages and got no help.

I’ve even started a gofundme…and that failed.

Im currently applying for PiP, so waiting for the results for that. I found a charity who will help…if I have PIP.

Its a very big long shot, but does anyone know of any charity who might be able to help. Even if it’s a loan for a few months.

I got my mobility scooter from face book for £150. Wheelchairs are often given away for free on fb. Definitely worth a look. Also on eBay you can sign in through Klarna and pay that way, so enabling you to spread the costs. I've attached a photo to show it.

Mobility scooters are usually cheaper if they are second hand. But please consider how you will get it in and out of your property and how you will charge it.
But also, if you have been bed bound for 2 months, will you have the necessary core stability in your body to be able to sit for long enough to use it?
