No alarms went off (it’s paid for obvs)!

self service; forgot to ask them to take it off. Got home and now can’t get it off. It’s a mesh net around the joint but it’s wire and even pliers won’t get it off

Tesco a 30 min trip to go back

please help!

Angle grinder?

womaninatightspot · 25/09/2022 13:38

Id go hunting for tools do you garden? I reckon secateurs might do it.

PuttingDownRoots · 25/09/2022 13:42

Photo?

CheezePleeze · 25/09/2022 13:42

Secateurs should do it or a wire cutter ( pliers normally have the wire cutting bit on them )

No idea sorry but it's a sad state of affairs we've got to isn't it. Our shops have security tags on baby milk and washing powder now. This is Britain in 2022 the government should be ashamed!

The black is quite rigid wire

Are there any joins in the wire?

ThatGirlInACountrySong · 25/09/2022 14:11

The government don't need to be ashamed

It's the shoplifters who cause this. And they have been robbing joints of meat to sell on for drugs money WELL before the 'cost of living crisis'

High value goods have been security tagged for years. Have you been shopping with your eyes shut.? Its to try and keep the druggies from robbing the stuff to sell for their next fix.

Luredbyapomegranate · 25/09/2022 14:58

I have never seen this..

Sorry Op, that’s not helpful, I hope you found something to open it

DuchessofAnkh77 · 25/09/2022 15:08

This is why I'm always very careful to check if alarms go off when I leave....One will have gone off btw, you will just have missed it.

Why on earth should the government be responsible? Shoplifters have been around for years Ffs!

BlueThursday · 25/09/2022 16:15

there’s bound to be a YouTube tutorial for it

saveforthat · 25/09/2022 16:19

This happened to me in Tesco but with a pack of 2 sports bras! The alarm definitely didn't go off but bizarrely did go off when I took them back. The security guard pounced on the poor guy behind me. I have never seen those meat security cages before.

KiraKiraHikaru · 25/09/2022 16:20

I’ve never seen this before! Thankfully we don’t have security tags on things like baby milk and stuff here.

LionessesRules · 25/09/2022 16:24

Never seen them like that before, but id guess the wire cutter bit of a pair of pliers might go through it?

ThatGirlInACountrySong · 25/09/2022 16:54

Did you get it off?
