Hospital asked random questions ??

I took my daughter into hospital today for infected earring.

mynson was being a menace and I kept having to tell him off, I was very stressed as I’m anxious and hate hospital, we’re going on holiday next week and my card just got blocked so I’m trying to sort it all out in one go so I didn’t have much patience with him.

when we saw the nurse she asked if she had any allergies etc and then asked what school she was at, who she lived with and first names. Then if social was involved,

I’ve left feeling like they’re going to be reporting me for maybe me telling my son off.. I’m an over thinker 😂 has anyone else had these questions asked I’m proper panicking they’re gonna take my kids from me.

Those are standard questions when a child goes to A&E. I've been asked similar on every occasion.

Those are not "random" questions. They are standard questions when you bring a child to A and E.

Nothing random at all just information they need to know.

Last time I took my son for a routine checkup we were asked some very invasive questions, did he have friends, what did he eat for breakfast, who did he live with, what clubs did he do, plus a full body exam. I can only think the Dr was newly qualified and doing things to the letter.

My kids have regular hospital appointments, at one point ds was going weekly, and we are asked whether social services are involved with us every single time. Often by the same members of staff that asked the previous week!

It was because they had wrote it down when asking which worried me. She just wrote it on a little bit paper

She will take that bit of paper and use the information to fill in the questions asked on the online records, it is nothing to be concerned about.

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 24/09/2022 14:06

That's totally standard questions.
