Repeat prescription over a weekend

Posting in chat for traffic.

I have a repeat prescription which I get regularly. I've somehow miscounted my days and I don't have enough to cover the weekend.

Is there anyway I can get a repeat prescription over a weekend bypassing my GP who will be closed.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Try 111, they should be able to arrange an emergency prescription.

I would contact the pharmacy first thing tomorrow and see what they say.

If it's on your record you can order through the NHS app if not you can phone 111 and they have an option for prescriptions.

How many meds are we talking about? It would also depend on the medication I imagine. Boots may do a emergency medication supply but probably not controlled drugs.

Your usual pharmacy should be able to give you an emergency supply if you've had it before.

Go to your regular pharmacist. If you’ve ordered from them before they will give you a few days worth. You do need to have used them before though

111 sorted my son's prescription out when he ran out of insulin one weekend. They sent a prescription to Boots

Ahhh fab thank you! It's pain medication which, at the moment, I'm having to take regularly to keep on top of a flare up of my condition.

I'll try my pharmacy first and then 111 if not.

Thanks all!

I ran out of BP tablets once and the chemist gave me 3 days worth. I just took the box in with my name etc from the GP.
