Can anyone please recommend some decent and good value pubs and bars that serve nice ale and good tuck ?Nowhere gastro or fancy unless they're absurdly cheap. Just welcoming and ordinary for a few days and nights at the Yorkshire coast. Thankyou.

I believe Wetherspoon have pubs in both towns but I'll take other recommendations too.

How cheap were you thinking?

WildRosie · 22/09/2022 19:56

Main course no more than twenty quid. Honestly, I rarely dine out so I'm unsure what's classed as cheap or expensive!

The Hart Inn in Sandsend is nice.

A few ideas for Whitby….

The White Horse and Griffin
Abbey Wharf: awesome views across the harbour
Albert’s Eatery; really quirky restaurant inside Whitby jet museum
Duke of York pub
Maggie’s fish and chip restaurant
The Star inn at the harbor for a bit more upmarket.

I love Whitby so much😍
