Has anyone got the new Lidl plus 10% off voucher yet?

If so, how does it work? Do you have to use it within the same calendar month? Or 7 days? Or do you get longer to use it?

7 days, same as all the vouchers.

We have one, but will be using it this weekend.

I used it and made sure I stocked up on store cupboard items so got the maximum £20 off the shop.

Will it take 10% of alcohol if that is part of the shop or is that not allowed (as I discovered when trying to redeem my £10 off voucher first time round)

So if you reach 250 in one month, in theory if you timed it right, you could get the 10% off and use that towards the next month's shopping? I'm just thinking how to get maximum benefits from I. So reach the £250 by the very end of September but use the 10% off the beginning of October and do a massive £200 drop in one go.

It seems like it could be a faff timing wise

It all sounds like a faff the old way was so much better.

Yes. We're going to qualify for it on the last Friday in September, (we're already within £40 of it) and plan on spending it on basics in October to also take us toward the October spend requirement. You can't redeem
it on alcohol though.

@Decafflatteplease that's what I'm thinking. The £10 off £200 tipped it into being worth shopping mainly at Lidl. I'm not sure this does as I worked out my weekly savings shopping there versus Tesco was around £3.5

@ScottishLavender that's what I'm going to try to do. Trying to buy £200 worth of food might be interesting in one go! I'm going to look at past receipts and work out if it's possible.

I was spending £200 and qualifying for the £10 off every month. Not any more. In September, I made it just over £150 so got the free W5 coupon which I spent today.
If you touch on the coupon on the app, you have the option of seeing all qualifying items and I spotted that all-in-one dishwasher tablets qualify. So I bought them £4.09 and got them for free.

You'll have to be careful using the coupon though. If you have two W5 items, I bet they give you the cheapest one free.

Ridingthegravytrain · 04/10/2022 18:24

Funny you say that @LovelyDaaling I was looking at the w5 items next to another lady and got chatting, we were both looking for the most expensive freebie 🤣 she settled on some latex gloves which were £6. Not bad if you need them

PinkStickleBrick · 05/10/2022 01:12

@LovelyDaaling thanks for that tip! I think I will get the dishwasher tablets next time.

I managed to spend my £250 right at the end of last month and used my 10% off a £200 shop today. Me and dh went together with two half full trolleys to make the scanning more bearable into two trolleys.

Pita but worth it to get £20 off. Plus now I know about the expensive free W5 item I might try to stick lidl out and do the same next month.

Would be interesting to know what the best W5 bargain is?
