Anyone remember this old book?

Inspired by another thread, this is probably a long shot. I remember a book I used to take out of the library over and over again when I was about 6 or 7 ( now 34), so early 90s. All I can remember about the book is that it was about a boy who used to sit looking out the window at the night sky and I think there were creatures that had tails. At the end of the book, there's a picture where you see that he actually had a tail himself find was one of the creatures. I've searched for this over the years but can't find anything even similar so I am hoping that someone else out there rekelbers

is it Where the Wild Things Are?

iwasyou · 21/09/2022 19:39

The boy is Max and he's sent to his bedroom in a temper and the Wild Things symbolise his rage I think

Ah no, it's not that, thanks for your reply though. I don't think book can be very well known. I'm sure the front cover illustration was the boy with the tail leaping across the sky.

That’s what I was going to suggest too. Here’s someone reading it on YouTube:

Just seen you say that’s not it! :)

Is it a picture book? Illustrated childrens book? Chapter book?

Not sure if links are allowed but you might have more luck by going to Reddit and posting on the 'whatsthatbook' subreddit. Just Google 'reddit whatsthatbook' and it should take you straight there

Illustrated children's book from what I can remember.
