Does anyone else have this issue with Aldi tortilla wraps?

Trying to separate a packet of wraps last night was utterly ridiculous! They were so badly stuck together that 5 out of 8 ended up with massive holes torn right through them which made them completely useless, it was really frustrating! Is there some trick to getting them apart? What can I do with 5 useless wraps?

Not just aldi wraps, i have it with branded packs too sometimes, can you fill them and lay in a dish cover in creme fraiche and cheese and cook in oven? I do this with chilli and they end up a bit like lasagne.

Ooh good idea, I haven't had chilli for ages and that sounds really good! Thanks!

Yes , me . Not one of them could be ' wrapped' they'd all stuck together

I have had that before think it was possibly from Aldi. Never had a problem with the Morrisons own brand ones I buy. It's very annoying though when u have a dinner relying on them!

Before you open any packet of wraps flex the packet around. That seems to stop it

TwoBlueFish · 21/09/2022 17:18

You need to bend and flex the whole packet of wraps to help separate them.

I think it happens because they are so stackable and probably virtually impossible to damage in transit they get stacked really high so compressing each other and sticking together
I found that very careful with the back of a dining knife you can sometimes get them apart but I agree is very frustrating
