What are your favourite autumn/winter Yankee Candle scents?

I was just thinking that I might buy some candles soon as we are approaching autumn/winter.

My personal favourites are Woodland Road Trip and cinnamon stick.

I can’t wait for the dark cold nights with candles lit, curtains closed, fire on, snuggled up on the sofa in my duvet watching TV with a hot chocolate. Bliss!

what are your favourite candle scents?

Snowflake Cookie. Some find it too sickly sweet but I LOVE it!

I prefer Diptyque candles I love Pomander and Baies. You only need to burn them for an hour and they last all day.

I love fir tree smells

I've given up buying Yankee candles. Became too expensive with weak fragrance for me. I've opted for tealight wax burners which means I can easily change the fragrance and I find them stronger without being overpowering.

I love the Home Bargains Gingerbread candle. I don't like Yankee, they're too expensive and REALLY sooty!

hattie43 · 21/09/2022 17:34

I've stopped buying Yankee as they no longer scent . I now enjoy higher end candles , Chase and Wonder , diptique, Baises , white company pomegranate is another favourite. Expensive yes but if I buy a scented candle I want to smell . Also they give a clean burn with no tunnelling unlike my last Yankee

Black Cherry

I really like Swan Creek candles. (I think) I bought a toffee scented one at Christmas a few years back and it was absolutely amazing. I do like Yankee candles but they are so much better.

I'm not a Yankee candle fan. They smell a bit 'cheap'. Sorry backs away!

I think they’re made by an American company, I’ve never actually seen them being sold in the UK apart from the fact that a family owned gift shop near me sells them and that’s where I buy them from.

I think you can buy them online though

I'm not a fan of Yankee candles as I find the scents too cloying and sickly. Sadly DH loves them so we have a few but I've banned him from burning them in the house 🙄

My favourites are either Parks or Paddy Wax 😊

Can’t stand Yankee Candles, they smell chemical to me.

Inextremis · 21/09/2022 17:59

Another liker of Snowflake Cookie here - but my favourite is The Perfect Tree, which they seem (sadly) to have discontinued - it smelled of Christmas to me.

I’ve never found that, but sometimes I do feel they don’t produce a strong enough smell.
