Tried live messaging. Filled in details. Waited for someone. Waited some more. Refreshed. Kicked out. Rinse and repeat 3x.

I had the same problem so I went for the ‘Business’ option when trawling through the numbers and it was immediately answered.
Appalling service before that; the interminable ABBA music nearly finished me off.

Personally, I loved the ABBA - but it did take about 40 mins. I think you just have to grin and bear it, sorry.

I'm glad I found this thread. Idly searching Mumsnet for fellow Ikea customer services hold music hell sufferers. We've just opened up the packing on the Billy bookcases we ordered a few weeks back. Two are fine but the third has the base cracked right through. Their handy 'claim damaged products' function online routes to a blank page. Their FAQ suggests these things can be resolved quickly by visiting their store. If I wanted to drive for an hour to go to the store I would have done that in the first place. Mind you 45 minutes of Abba might drive me to it. Currently 7 minutes in and 'enjoying' 'Take a Chance on Me'. FML.
