Is Wowcher a scam?

Bought a £99 refurbished laptop/tablet on Friday. I'd never used the site before and it seemed a weird process to buy something but my husband and I agreed that surely for a high profile business running this long, it should be fine?

I just Googled 'wowcher scam' and a whole lot of things came up warning about products not arriving, impossible to get a refund back into your bank account, refunds are only redeemable with other Wowcher stuff.

I'd love to hear your experiences. Should I start cancelling the order now, with the view to hopefully getting in touch with their "terrible customer service" before my 14 days are up?

I've never purchased anything that expensive on there but whatever I have ordered has always arrived.
Hopefully someone with more experience will come along and help soon!

Wowcher is a portal like eBay, amazon or Etsy. You aremt buying from them and like the other places there will be genuine and not so genuine retailers who sell through them

Ive bought several vouchers and never had a problem but them I've bought through all the other websites too and never had an issue but that doesn't mean that no one ever gets conned

Shame there's no rating of the sellers like on eBay etc. I shall wait and see!
