Contents Insurance for students

Please be aware that although many insurance companies say that Students are covered whilst they're at Uni, for many, this is only if they are in University Halls of Residence NOT if they're renting a shared house/flat (as I assume most second/third years are).

Check your policy.

Also, can anyone please recommend a company that covers students not in a halls!

Ds was still covered in rented house if his room door had a lock.

We've just used Urban Jungle. About £8 a month including cover away from the home for high risk items.
Wanted to keep it separate from our own home insurance.

Always used to be Endsleigh, are they still around? Paid out within 2 weeks when I was burgled as a student, was in the 90s though

@BlueBloodedBlue we're with Admiral. Dd didn't use Endsleigh for hers last year.

Think she used Urban Jungle instead

Thank you for all suggestions. Looked at Urban Jungle but it won't quote as there are 7 of them sharing in the house.

He'll probably use Cover4 students.
