Le scam francais

I received a scam email last night - in French. My French is very poor (can order wine and a beer and that's about it). So I ran the email through Google translate and apparently the scammer has a video of me pleasuring myself on screen! They want 1460 bitcoin thingies within 48 hrs to destroy the video or they'll send the video to all my contacts.

Was tempted to reply in my bestest franglais but just deleted it in the end - having checked on the latest scams going around.

Anyone else had a scammer contact them in another language and were you tempted to reply, or actually did reply ?

I'll let you know if they email all my contacts or contact me again - in french or any other language

I’ve not had any of those yet but I would NEVER reply.

They’re just spamming email addresses (like the phone auto-diallers but for emails). All replying does is prove that yours is a “live/active” email account.

I know that's why I didn't. Although I do love the apocryphal stories were people have wasted a lot of their time with questions and such
