Accepting Data/Cookies

For the last week on every thread I open I have to “accept and close” the data/cookies message that shows. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do to make it accept my acceptance and stop showing the message every flipping time?

Cookies basically track you do on that site, by law you have to give permission now for that to happen. We all have to do it

It isn't the law to have to do it every time, especially if you're accepting- sort of the point of cookies in the first place...Just a bad site build I'm afraid.

The problem is it’s every time I click on a thread. I’ll click on a thread, accept cookies, read it and then go back to “chat” and have to accept cookies again, press on another thread to read and gave to accept cookies yet again. It’s been like this for a week now.
I’ve been on MN for nearly 14 years and it’s only just started doing this.

This problem has been occurring for many weeks now and all the suggestions for sorting it from @mumsnet have failed. It's making the site unusable. Any updates would be very welcome!

I don’t mind as long as they are gluten free cookies.

@MNHQ it is still happening. Everytime you open a new thread we are forced to accept cookies. Surely once per site visit is enough, not every new page.

Wierd, I'm not getting this issue. I wonder why some are and some aren't?

If you want to accept the cookies each time you can add an extension to your browser called 'I don't care about cookies' and it will automatically accept them for you you every time so you don't have click the button all the time. There are versions for Chrome, Firefox & Brave. Note of caution it will do this every to every website unless you change the settings in that extension.

I just downloaded this. It works.

Sad that we have to resort to this though!
