Do pharmacists have otoscopes to look inside ears?

DD has (we think) an ear wax blockage in one ear, no pain but a bit itchy and affecting her hearing. Does anyone know whether a pharmacist could have a look and just confirm whether there's any infection before we start firing olive oil down there? Getting a GP appointment is a battle atm and don't want to waste their time if it's just wax, thanks in advance for any info.

No, I'm afraid. Try minor injuries perhaps.

It won’t hurt to pop olive oil in.

DJ just bought an otoscope off Amazon for £30.

it’s awesome.

Ours did.
I took dd- the pharmacist had a look and said book a gp appointment and we will see you back for antibiotics.

I would get some Ear Calm which is over the counter, it's the first step in ear infections anyway.

Thanks all, will take her with me to the pharmacist tomorrow just in case they do happen to have one I think, can get some Ear Calm while we're there so covered either way. Thanks again.
