Are those real leopard/tiger skins on the bandsmen in the procession?

I know the "bearskin" (busby) hats are synthetic these days but just wondering.

Yep they are real. PETA have made calls for them to stop but hasn't happened yet.

Bear skins are also real.

They don't just go out and shoot a few leopards , these skins are for ceremonial use only which have been used for a long time. The bearskins come from legally culled bears in Canada.
