What should I buy from Lakeland?

I've won a £50 voucher for Lakeland. I doubt it'll get me very much - but is there anything that people recommend?

Anything Christmassy? I love their hot chocolate curls. Mmmm

What else?

Heated blanket! I bought my mum one last year for Christmas and she loves it.

That’s a lovely thing to win, it’s a great shop. If you don’t have one already , I’d personally recommend their intelliheat throws which we find fantastic and don’t cost much in electricity apparently but I haven’t checked this. They keep our DC really snug even when there’s a drop in temperature in the night .

i also find their foil cupcake cases brilliant and nicer than paper ones as don’t go greasy .

All the things! I love Lakeland. It is always full of things I didn't know I need.

A few years ago I got wind-up racing penguins in their excellent Christmas crackers and we still play with those.

The microwave grill things make good toasted sandwiches

Niederegger marzipan - I buy the small boxes so everyone gets one in their stocking, +2 boxes for my own secret pre-Christmas perusal.

All the things!

I love my cling film and foil dispensers. Boring sounding but soooo much easier to use. And they don't keep dying like the Baco cheap ones.

Licorice! The flavoured ones are amazing. I reccomend the red and the green ones

saveforthat · 18/09/2022 21:45

If you have a woodburner, open fire or fire pit they do cones that are coated in stuff, you throw on the fire and they make northern light type flames. Amazing. Also mincemeat in shortbread shells, mmmm.

MomJeansBumJeans · 18/09/2022 21:49

I am LOVING these suggestions!! Definitely keen on licorice 😋 off to look at the open fire thingies too!

Heated clothes drier if you don't have one.

MomJeansBumJeans · 18/09/2022 21:53

@saveforthat you absolute gem! These are amazing, had no idea they even existed!! Thank you xx

Ooh I have a heated airer and heated throw. Absolutely love them ❤️

I love their butter knives, I have about 5 now. So much easier to use than any others I've owned.

parietal · 18/09/2022 21:58

microwave pan if they still have them. little red pans with a clear lid that we use everyday for frozen peas / other frozen veg / soup / hot chocolate etc

Daisypod · 18/09/2022 22:01

Drain weasel, not as nice and lovely as other suggestions but if you have people in the house with long hair it is so satisfying to put these down you bath plug hole and bring all the hair and gunk out!

Toast tongs!

CherrySocks · 18/09/2022 22:04

Moisturising latex-free washing up gloves

MomJeansBumJeans · 18/09/2022 22:05

@QuiltedHippo do you know what? I think I will. Lakeland toast tongs were the last thing my Grandad bought me before he died. I was absolutely heartbroken when they finally broke. I think they lasted at least 10 years!

He was a kitchen gadget fan 😊

Their hipster (as in shaped to sit on the hip) laundry baskets are well made, huge and fold flat for storage.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 18/09/2022 22:12

Cling film dispenser - saved many fights with a roll of clingfilm that ended up in a ball at the other side of the kitchen.

red4321 · 18/09/2022 22:18

Laundry basket with collapsible legs. Good height for pegging your washing on a line.

Defiantlynot41 · 19/09/2022 15:00

Worktop wonder if you have granite worktops

And those little red microwave "saucepans "

BeyondMyWits · 19/09/2022 15:09

Like others... clingfilm dispenser, red microwave saucepan, hip held foldable laundry basket. And personally add ...a peg airer for socks and undies

KangarooKenny · 19/09/2022 15:37

I’m making a list for myself !
