Son has asked me but I have a poor track record when it comes to laundry. So am asking here :).

How should student son wag this t-shirt without losing the white/colours running?

Sorry, not wag. Wash!

I'd wash it at the temperature recommended on label and shove a Colour Catcher in with it

I don't know about the washing, but if that's a student house, it's incredibly tidy!!!

White wash at the recommended temp with a colour catcher. Is it a plastic-y print? They won't generally run anyway.

Add salt to the wash sets colour into fabric. In all probability that print is likely to be a plasticised motif and it's not the colour running that'll be a problem but in time the motif might start wearing off. Don't iron over the coloured bit (if you must, turn it inside out so the iron doesn't touch the colour)

Yes, I also don't tumble dry these plastic-y prints.
