Parking suspension - where to put car?

I live in central london (zone 1). Because of the funeral tomorrow, my road has a parking suspension sign up on it. No parking. I presume this is either security or for more important people to park here.

I have a permit from the council for on street parking, as everything is permit only around here, with private parking at like £50 a day.

Does this mean I have to move my car which is already parked in the suspension zone? Where can I park it? Or is it ok to leave it there
because I live here and have a regular permit?

I would ring the council and ask.
Normally if the bays are suspended then your permit means nothing, you can't park there. But I think if the council is suspending a lot of parking bays at once then they are supposed to provide alternative parking for residents.

When parking was suspended they lifted the cars and moved them to neighbouring streets. I’d call council and ask.

Surely, the council offices will be closed today and tomorrow.

Move it. I have a permit for parking on my street but it was suspended due to a street festival by the local temple. Everyone moved their cars a few blocks out of the zone - except one lone car (which got a ticket - I think where you are your car might get towed).

You will need to move it otherwise you’re risking it being moved for you. Presuming your permit is zoned, not just for your street, move the car to wherever you can find a spot still in your zone but a street where the parking isn’t suspended.

You should have had email from the council if you are in Westminster. Permit holders from zones A, D and G can park in resident bays in other Westminster parking zones until 8.30am on 21 September. Also, Sunday parking controls are operating on Monday so you can park in paid for bays for free and without a time limit, and on single yellow lines.
