Anyone had a child with perioral dermatitis?

I think my 5yo DD has perioral dermatitis. We have a doctors appt on Friday but it's quite bad and has been getting worse for three weeks.
The spots are under her mouth, on chin, and under one eye.
She has in the past used steroids for eczema but not on face for a long time. We still need to use it occasionally on her neck, elbows and knees and she has a high potency steroid. She also has inhaled steroids for asthma daily (brown inhaler).
Has anyone healed this without stopping all steroids? I can't see how we can get through winter without her brown inhaler as we often end up in a&e for viral induced wheeze in winter when she has a cold and she often ends up with oral steroids for that too.
From what I can see they prescribe long term antibiotics which I don't really like the idea of for a child. Has anyone been prescribed a cream that works?

I've found that E45 face wash and facial moisturiser has got it under control for me (definitely not completely prevented, but much improved, but antibiotics didn't solve it either.)

Thank you, I will try that. We use aveeno on the rest of her body and her skin (very prone to eczema) is the best it's ever been. Most moisturisers just aggravate her so it's hard to know what to try.
She's not bothered by it but it's upsetting to see as it's so obvious and red.
Is this something that people have for life?
