What can you do about tiny white flecks on black clothes washed in machine?

I wear a lot of black. Increasingly, black stuff is coming out of the wash, being air dried and looking like a tissue has been in the wash (to a smaller or greater degree). Those tiny tiny white flecks on stuff. Is it lint? How do I make it go away? There are no tissues in the wash

Oh god, following it drives me mad

ILoveMyBedTooMuch · 17/09/2022 17:26

Do you have a rinse/clean function?

Dickens222 · 17/09/2022 17:33

No idea, I suspect so. I don't do the washing (I do the cooking)

Lint roller? Not ideal but quick fix until you find the route of the problem. Is there a filter in the washing machine that needs cleaning out?

When I remember I wash dark things inside out, it helps.

Lint rollers are very useful, particularly for when you do leave a tissue in the pocket! Some scrunched-up sellotape can be used.

I have a lint roller but I'd like to avoid it at washing stage

Does your machine have a drum clean cycle?

wibblewobbleball · 17/09/2022 19:01

Is it lint, or are the clothes bobbling?
