Did you make it into Green Park or St James's Park today?

And if so, what tube did you use & what route did you take? After waddling like penguins around the outside of Green park today (police said it was closed for being too full) & being filtered one-way, ever further away to Victoria, I gave up. Someone coming back in the opposite direction, told me the queue to get even close to the parks was 6hrs. I was so fed-up & disappointed. Did you manage it?

I elbowed my way past on the way to a meeting…

I made it to SJP, but left after a rest there. I was hoping to make it to Buck House but it’s chaos and very tight and military management of people (entirely understandable, of course). I gave up and left. It requires patience. The 6 hours to get to the park sounds bogus! You can manage it but have to take a long route if you are coming from Picadilly.

We got off at Green Park and it was a fast moving queue of people. The edge of the park was completely fenced off with hoardings and we had to walk down the side until the end near Hyde Park. We got in and were able to walk around. The flowers were unbelievable, 1000s of them. I'm so eased we went

I got there about 12.30 and it was closed at that time. We were funnelled around to Victoria. There was literally not a side street or alleyway open. It felt hopeless. I'm jealous of those who got to see the flowers

I got there at about 11am, and it felt like a concert had just let out busyness wise. Heaving but reasonably quick moving until you got to the railings by the flowers where people slowed to look before being filtered. I expected long queues but straight into the park and done with flowers by about 11.40. I walked from Euston about an hour as it was glorious and didn't want to be rammed on the tube. Got busy about 10 mins walk from green park.

We drove up Friday late afternoon, parked in a hotel car park nearby (park Lane). Arrived about 7pm. Busy but not unmanageably so. Went into green park, looked at all the flowers, walked down onto the mall and then back up to Piccadilly via St James Palace. Had dinner and drove home. So many people but a very nice atmosphere. All 3 of us very glad we went. It's cheaper for us to drive and pay ulez and parking than it is for 3 return train fares. My DD who was the one who wanted to go was happy with what we did. I'd had vague plans we might walk down to Westminster as well, but we felt we'd done enough. The Queue was a non starter for us, none of us were prepared to queue overnight particularly as it was going to be cold.

Sounds like we were lucky if they're now closing it due to so many visitors.

I went at 11pm having walked along the South Bank, over Westminster Bridge and up Birdcage Walk to Buckingham Palace. No queuing anywhere, could get right up to the gates of the palace and into Green Park. As I walked up Birdcage Walk I probably encountered fewer than 20 other people but it was busier at the palace end.
