No friends and ashamed

Name changed for this.

I've been pushed out of my friendship group as the queen bee took a disliking to me for unknown reasons (she's got form for this sort of thing). It's been many months no and no sign of the situation changing.

They were my only friends in the area. I didn't grow up here and don't make friends easily. Last night was a kick in teeth with photos on social media of them all out at a meal I wasn't invited to.

I just don't know how to go about making new friends. Thinking about using a friendship app but I'm so ashamed to admit that I have absolutely no friends

Have a look at Meetup, just put in your area and see what comes up.

First thing I would say is get off social media. Or at least, and social media to do with that group. How old are you? Could you try the WI or Soroptimists. If your library is still open, they tend to advertise groups you can join.

It's no shame on you, it sounds like an awful group. Agree with pp take them off your social media or just get it so you can't see posts from those people. How about finding a new hobby or volunteering, meet people that way?

I'm 40. Not much time for volunteering or new hobbies at the moment but I have existing hobbies so could start there
