Has anyone flown from Gatwick recently? We are flying out of the North Terminal first thing on Wednesday and wondered what the queuing is like for security etc?

Dd flew out on a Friday am a few weeks ago and was through security in 10 minutes, no real queue.

We flew from Gatwick at the end of June, and it was a breeze! They didn't want you to take anything out of your bags as you went through security - so liquids and electronics stayed in bags, meaning we went through really quickly. It was also quite quiet, even though this was around 8.30am, so normally a busy time.

Dd did have to remove liquids, coat, belt, electronics etc.

So does everyone?

Usually yes, sometimes shoes too.

We flew twice from Gatwick in august. No queues at all at security. Ridiculous queues for boots and Wetherspoons! Doubt that will be the case now with school holidays over

Went through 2 weeks ago. Never been quicker. Bag drops were waiting for people and went straight through security.
There were delays to lots of flights the same afternoon, and flight side was busy, but there were seats everywhere.

We flew out last Saturday. Bag drop and security a breeze, but massive queues for food and even Weatherspoons was and hour wait once you'd got in. We knew there was likely to be no food on the plane either so ended up with a meal deal and chocolate. Really bad 😾

Flew from Gatwick North last Monday and I queues
