A cautionary tale

On Thursday night I was watching TV in bed when something caught my eye. There was a massive spider abseiling down the curtains. I ran downstairs for a large glass and a card to catch the beast and when I returned it had gone.
Last night I was in bed when I felt something tickling my leg. I whipped the covers back to find the beast on my leg.
Luckily I still had the glass and caught it.
Make sure your windows are closed now because they are coming in from the cold to breed...........

I had a massive one in my bedroom a bit ago, went for our specifically designated plastic tub and piece of cardboard and by the time I got back, my lovely foster cat had dealt with it! 😻 Sadly, she has now moved on to her forever home and I'm going to have to deal with them myself! 😭

Surely it would have been worth keeping the foster cat purely to dispatch spiders!?
My cat sadly shows no interest in arachnids. I really wish he would!

Oh, how I wish I could have done, she was an absolute darling! But I live in a flat and she really needed access to the outdoor. She was with me a while and I miss her so much. I have a set of kittens now and whilst they are really cute, they are a bit dim and smell sooooo baaaad! 😂

I was driving yesterday and a fairly large spider dropped down inside the car from the roof and ran down my arm as I was changing gear on a dual carriageway. Fortunately I'm not too scared of spiders but it did make me cringe and give me the shivers. There was nothing I could do other then take a very deep breath and keep driving otherwise i would have caused a pile up. I don't know where it went and horrifyingly, it's still in the car...😱

A fear of mine. I think I would have caused a pile up in the same situation. A friend of mine drove into a wall when a spider dropped onto her.

I saw a big one run across the lounge and under my DH armchair the other day but he wouldn’t move for me to deal with it. Luckily, it decided to make a run for it later on that evening, and I was able to dispatch it with a slipper!!
