What to get the man who literally has everything

I've read similar threads for inspiration but I'm drawing a blank. Please help!

It's my friends birthday. He literally has everything. Money isn't an issue for him. He knows it is for me! And if I ask him what he'd like he'd laugh and tell me not to worry.

His hobbies are ridiculously specialised. Surf kiting. Mountaineering in Antarctica and bikes but bikes I'd need a mortgage to get a spare part for...

He struggles to sleep so was thinking something for bedtime? Something sentimental?! But I'm not his girlfriend and I don't want to step on her toes!

Maybe I'm overthinking it. I know he wouldn't care. I'm taking him out for lunch and he will say that's enough but I'd like to get him something.

Please help!

You are "overthinking it"! You are NOT his GF.
I'm not being nasty, rude, or dismissive but helping from my heat and gut.
I'm sure no matter what you buy him, like most of us it will just go into a drawer.

Chill, possibly get him a scarf as winter is here but your choice and enjoy his BD

Good luck!

Something consumable?
So booze, fancy coffee, fancy olive oil or other cooking product, biscuits, hot choc, whatever he is into.

Or a book if he likes to read

Nothing?

That's what is get someone who has everything because that's exactly what they need.

This Works do a nice collection of sleep aid products.

if you can stretch, a cashmere scarf in a colour you know suits him.

wibblewobbleball · 17/09/2022 09:52

What about the This Works pillow spray or a set that they do related to sleep? Affordable, not too try hard so won't step on the GFs toes, and shows you've put some thought in?

Bottle of barolo and a card or a paperback you know he'd enjoy. I really think you're overthinking this.

Thanks everyone

Yes I should have said. He's been a rock this last year. I've had some real shit to deal with and he's really been there for me. I don't think I could've done it without him. So I really want to get him something to show how much I appreciate him. But without straying into girlfriend territory!

I was thinking the pillow stuff too so will give that a shot!

(The wine is a good idea. Except I asked his favourite wine before. Looked it up. And nearly had a heart attack at the price...!)

I'm sorry to be THAT person - but he doesn't 'literally' have everything 😂

When I say he has money... I'm not joking.

The guy has two Aston Martins and a Mercedes for good measure.

Don't get me started on boats...
