I have hundreds of them and it seems a shame to get rid but they are taking up room.

I dust them. I will not throw them as I massively regret throwing my cassettes.

I grow veg and used mine to keep the birds off them.

Down the tip. I know the ones I used to love, the ones I’ve not listened to more than a few times? Down the time.

I regret throwing my tapes too although I have no way of playing them now if I did have them still 😆

Why would you do this rather than take then to the charity shop?
there are other options than landfill such as Charity shop, offer free on Olio, send to music magpie.

BertieBotts · 16/09/2022 21:33

Chuck them out. Nobody wants CDs any more.

willowtree66 · 16/09/2022 21:35

Sell them on Music Magpie. You don't get much but it's better than chucking them away.

pilates · 16/09/2022 21:35

Do charity shops want them?

Charity shops don't want them, nobody does. Just bin them and enjoy the space they free up.

TowerStork · 16/09/2022 21:38

Lots of charity shops won't take them or books. The covers can be recycled if you take the time to remove them but there's nothing to do with the CDs. I only need four to keep crows off the apple trees

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 16/09/2022 21:53

Play them! Oh, and for those saying no one wants them, teenage DC are gutted about the vinyl I got rid of when no one wanted that, so I'm not convinced that CDs won't make a comeback.
